My Sweet Valentine............

Over the last couple of days, I have been working on a limited edition flower to celebrate Valentine's Day - some think that this day is very commercial and to an extent I agree.

However, making something with love, no matter how big or small, whatever the cost, can show a person how much you care.

Innamorato means 'sweetheart' in Italian and I love the way it turned out, from the colour scheme to the secret hearts throughout the design.

How are you?

I have some more sewing planned for the rest of today, along with helping my little boy with his homework :)

Recently, I completed a bridal order, consisting of a bouquet and wrist corsage and I was super pleased with the outcome, as was the recipient!

I was so nice to work on something with lots of colour and let my imagination run a little......

I have created this blog to showcase my new creations, updates, post inspiration and a few surprise extras in between!

Why DOLLYgirl?

Each piece is handmade by me from start to finish - hand-cut, hand-sewn using various techniques and stitches, you get the idea......

They can be brooches, hair clips, shoe clips, rings, earrings.....the list goes on

They can also be made in to wedding bouquets or flower arrangements for a unique, one of a kind gift

I use wool felt for better quality pieces and vintage buttons that I pick up on my travels, so your special piece may end up with a heirloom incorporated in to it or maybe  buttons from a 1970's dress! 

Each piece is unique - there are never 2 alike, just like you :)
